Never Thought I’d Live to See the Day…
Today actually went quite awesomely. To understand the full extent of why I had an awesome day, let me give you a bit of history. Sometime last year, my mother found my Harry Potter books under my bed. I had been secretly reading them for quite some time and I got to the middle of book 5 when she found them. She’s a very religious person to say the least and detests HP and all that jazz. She threw my books in the recycle bin. I never got to finish the series. Our relationship has been extremely tense and unenjoyable since then…well, even before then but now all the more so. [if that made any sense at all]. Anyways, today was the book sale at the library. I’ve been working on this painting for my friend’s mom and my mom liked it and wanted me to paint something similar for her. She said she would pay me and I just sort of ignored that and told her that she just had to pay for my books at the sale today. I found all 7 Harry Potter books and put them in my stack of 74 books. <3 She saw the Harry Potter books and looked at them then looked at me… then did this a couple more times and she walked up to the librarian/cashier and started writing the check. “You shouldn’t fill your mind with these things…,” she said as she wrote the check. XD best day ever. Then I got a new bookshelf, moved my desk out, and am currently rearranging my room. My Potter books look amazing lined up on my new bookshelf :3 I’ll take a picture or something when my room gets a bit tidier. Beautiful weather. Went on a drive without a destination with my dog. Cranked up the music and rolled down the windows. Things are looking a bit brighter… well, for now. At least I have my books back <3
